Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes! Venue coordinators and planners have very different roles. While there is some overlap, the main role of a venue coordinator is to serve the venue. This includes things like parking, in house food and beverage, layout and overall operations. A planner is there for you and your vendors. Even when a venue offers assistance prior to the wedding, they rarely reach out to your vendors to coordinate details the way a planner would.

  • Full service is best for a couple that wants hands on assistance in all aspects of the planning process. From vendor selection to design and more. Partial planning is best for couples that are prepared to handle the majority of the planning on their own, but wants some extra support with design.

  • Most of our Full Service couples book us around 12-18 months out from their wedding date, though we are always down for a challenge and have planned weddings in less time! We take on a limited number of weddings per year to ensure we can devote our full attention to each couple, so as soon as you know you want to work together, we recommend reaching out to lock your date in.

  • You can reach us anytime via our contact page or email (sam@theperfectmatchweddings.com). Our DMs are also always open on Instagram @theperfectmatchweddings. If you’re ready to book a call, click HERE.

  • Our flat rate for Full Service Planning is $15,000. Once we begin planning, if your total wedding budget exceeds $100,000, then we switch to a 15% production fee instead for each vendor we manage. Think of it like working with an interior designer or realtor! This allows our rate to adjust based on the scope of your vision.

  • ABSOLUTELY! Hiring a planner is never a replacement for being involved in decisions surrounding your wedding. Our goal is to allow you to enjoy the fun things (tasting wedding cake, sipping champagne, and picking out your fav color palette) and leave the not so fun tasks to us.

Newly engaged and not sure where to begin?

A virtual power planning session is the perfect way to kick off the planning process in a low-stake, commitment free environment. We’ll use this time to talk about any wedding questions that are on your mind, help you identify what aspects of your wedding you value most, where to allocate your budget, and what steps you should take first.

Many couples use this as a preliminary session to booking TPM as their wedding planner. Other couples use these sessions periodically throughout their own planning process to get advice if they don’t have a planner or as an add on to the Event Management package.
